CHICAGO — Calvin West and Monera Atia are suing a dentist, citing alleged negligence that resulted in an injury.
The couple filed a complaint on Feb. 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Bernard W. Murray and Bernard W. Murray, D.D.S., LTD., alleging that Murray knowingly violated the standard of care as a dental practitioner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that West experienced pain and numbness in his facial area after Murray penetrated a nerve in his facial area while installing a dental implant in 2013, causing permanent pain and suffering.
The plaintiffs seek compensation for an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs. They are represented by David R. Butzen of Ambrose Butzen Law Group, P.C. in Chicago.
