CHICAGO — The administrator of a deceased man's estate is suing a doctor and two health-care entities, saying a 48-year-old man died of a heart attack due to medical negligence.

John Georgis, independent administrator of the estate of Christopher Georgis, deceased, is suing Dr. Bernadette Gniadecki, Adventist Lagrange Memorial Hospital and Emergency Healthcare Physicians, citing alleged negligence that resulting in an injury.

John Georgis sued on Feb. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants are responsible for a failure to correctly diagnose a heart condition.

The plaintiff alleges that, on Oct. 21, 2014, John Georgis was examined for chest pain and was diagnosed with possible esophagitis, then died on Oct. 28, 2014, in connection with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to diagnose the ultimately fatal condition.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for excess of $50,000 plus cost of suits for all damages. He is represented by Laird M. Ozmon of Law Offices of Laird M. Ozmon, Ltd. in Joliet.
