CHICAGO – A patient is suing medical surgeon alleging that the surgeon did not provide her the standard of care required for a medical practitioner.
Monique Corona filed a complaint on Jan. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Anuja Antony, M.D., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 29, 2014, the defendant allegedly failed to carefully perform reconstructive surgery on her right breast, which required further surgeries. She alleges she suffered bodily pain and injury as a result of the defendant's actions.
The plaintiff seeks compensation for a sum of money of more than $50,000. She is representing herself.
