CHICAGO — A couple's lawsuit against a doctor and hospital allege that negligence and violation of the standard of care led a man to suffer a severe brain injury.
Steven Obremski and Elizabeth Obremski filed suit on Jan. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Advocate Christ Medical Center and Dr. Sachin Kapur, alleging that Steven Obremski suffered from acute disseminated encephalomyelitis in April 2014 and that the defendants' negligence led him to suffer a severe brain injury and damages including pain and suffering, disability, loss of income and loss of a normal life.
The plaintiffs seek compensation in the amount of $50,000 and further relief as this court deems appropriate. They are represented by Daniel F. Konicek of Konicek & Dillon, P.C. in Geneva.
