Patient alleges River Forest health services business failed to detect head injuries

CHICAGO — A patient is suing a River Forest doctor and medical group, alleging failure to provide adequate medical care and treatment.

James Jeske Jr. filed a complaint April 5, in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Janis Wiener and Chicago Health Medical Group, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 6, 2014, was examined after suffering from an undiagnosed subdural hematoma that occurred Jan. 20, 2014, due in the fall, striking his head and face. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to diagnose and treat his subdural hematoma in a timely manner and failed to advise a diagnostic imaging test to further evaluate his condition.

The lawsuit states because of the misdiagnosis, the plaintiff suffered permanent and severe injuries, both external and internal.

Jesek seeks a trial by jury, an amount in excess of the court's jurisdictional limits, plus costs of suit. He is represented by attorney Marta A. Zaborska of O'Connor & Nakos, LTD in Chicago.
