The Center for Applied Psychology and Forensic Studies accused of unpaid wages

CHICAGO – A psychologist alleges that her former Maywood employer owes her unpaid wages and also has filed suit over an email containing purportedly false statements about her.

Yolanda Olszewski filed a complaint on March 8 in the Cook County Circuit Court against The Center for Applied Psychology and Forensic Studies LTD, Marva Dawkins and William Dawkins citing violation of the Wage Payment and Collection Act and defamation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she has not received her wages for the months of September, October, November, December and January. The plaintiff also alleges that the defendant sent an email on Feb. 5 that contained purportedly false statements and was disseminated to third parties.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant of more than $50,000 and for any further relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Scott Berends of Busse, Busse & Grasse in Chicago.
