Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO — A doctor is suing a group of medical professionals, alleging their negligence caused him permanent injuries.

Dr. Nicholas Kondelis filed a lawsuit March 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. John MItton, Dr. Justin D. Griffith, Northshore University Health System, Glenbrook Hospital and Northshore Medical Group, alleging negligence in failing to provide professional and adequate care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on March 21, 2014, Kondelis suffered permanent injuries when the defendants failed to properly monitor his body fluids and provide proper care while the plaintiff was under their supervision. The suit also says the defendants failed to catheterize the plaintiff, over-hydrated him and failed to diagnose a distended bladder.

As a result, the plaintiff says, he suffered permanent injuries to his bladder that will result in large medical expenses.

Kondelis seeks more than $50,000 from each defendant. He is represented by attorney Jeffrey J. Tallis of Faklis, Tallis & Mead PC in Chicago.
