Visitor blames Midlothian property owner for injuries

CHICAGO — A visitor is suing Midlothian property owners alleging their negligence caused her to suffer injuries.

Mary Rehmeyer filed a lawsuit June 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lori Kocinski, doing business as A Treasure or Two, and Judith Burbatt, alleging negligence in failing to maintain the property that it is safe for other people.

According to the complaint, on March 14, 2015, Rehmeyer sustained injuries at 14319 Kenneth St., Midlothian, when an iron railing fell and hit her. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to secure the iron railings.

Rehmeyer seeks judgment in excess of the limits of the court. She is represented by attorneys from McArdle Frost of Chicago.
