Suit filed against Symphony Crestwood, Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network

Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO – An individual is suing a long-term care and hospital over allegations of negligent care that contributed to skin breakdown of his decedent.

Kenneth Schiradelly, independent administrator of the estate of Marietta Schiradelly, filed a complaint on May 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Symphony Crestwood LLC and Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network alleging that they failed to properly supervise and provide immediate medical care to Marietta Schiradelly.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 2014, Marietta Schiradelly suffered physical pain as a result of her pressure ulcer progressing, which resulted or contributed to her death on March 28, 2015. The plaintiff holds Symphony Crestwood LLC and Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network responsible because the defendants allegedly neglected their duty to provide timely medical attention and provide proper care to the decedent while she was staying at their facilities.
