Wrongful death suit filed against Presence RHC Senior Services

Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO – A representative is suing a Northlake care facility alleging his decedent fell in its care, contributing to her death.

Georgian Joda, as independent executor of the estate of Loretta Beckley, filed a complaint on May 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Presence RHC Senior Services, formerly known as Resurrection Senior Services and doing business as Presence Villa Scalabrini Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, alleging wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 2014, Loretta Beckley suffered a right orbital blowout fracture and other injuries to her body as a result of falling, which deteriorated her overall physical condition and resulted in her death on July 2, 2015. The plaintiff holds Presence RHC Senior Services responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide necessary care and adequate supervision to Beckley while she was under its care.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 and court costs. He is represented by Jason Kellerman of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
