Man alleges negligent care caused decedent's pressure ulcer

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO – An administrator has filed suit against a Chicago care facility alleging negligent treatment of his decedent.

Antwan Anderson, as independent administrator of the estate of Jeffrey Anderson, filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against THC - Chicago Inc., doing business as Kindred Chicago - Central Hospital, alleging negligence and wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Feb. 20, 2014, and May 30, 2014, Jeffrey Anderson experienced pain and deterioration of his health as a result of the development of pressure ulcer to his sacrum. The plaintiff holds THC - Chicago Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly evaluate, diagnose, and implement a comprehensive plan to care for Jeffrey Anderson while he was under its care.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000. He is represented by Cari F. Silverman and Zachary R. Greening of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
