Brookdale Plaza Lisle Healthcare Center alleged to have not maintained elevator

CHICAGO – An individual is suing a Lisle long-term care facility alleging she was injured by its elevator.

Shefah Saman filed a complaint on June 13 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Brookdale Plaza Lisle Healthcare Center alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 30, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when an elevator door violently closed and struck her. The plaintiff holds Brookdale Plaza Lisle Healthcare Center responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the elevator and made sufficient inspection and repairs to it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by I. Peter Polansky and Jane P. Pales of Polansky & Cichon CHTD in Chicago.
