Doctor accused of not performing hysterectomy properly

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Dr. Byron Rosner, M.D., and Reproductive Health Associates, S.C., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Lorraine Thomas filed a complaint on June 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 15, 2014, she was admitted for an abdominal hysterectomy, which resulted her sustaining permanent physical injuries and pain. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly evaluate the plaintiff's condition while causing a burn to her skin and ultimately failing to perform the procedure properly.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Edward M. Rubin of Rubin Machado & Rosenblum, Ltd. in Chicago.
