CHICAGO — A man is suing Home Depot Inc. and The Home Depot U.S.A. Inc., property owners, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

David Steinsdoerfer filed a complaint on June 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly stack insulation, which caused an accident.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 1, 2014, he sustained physical injuries when a roll of insulation fell on him while walking. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly inspect the stack of insulation in order to keep it from falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by David B. Gorodess of Elman Law Group LLC in Chicago.
