Man claims foot procedures led to disability

Medical malpractice 06

CHICAGO — A man is suing Marie C. Schlund, DPM, PC, Daryl B. Wever, DPM, PC, and Itasca Foot and Ankle Ltd., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Robert P. Roden filed a complaint on June 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly perform a procedure on the plaintiff, causing him more pain.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that after foot surgeries in June and July of 2014, complications caused him more pain and ultimately rendered him disabled, unable to walk or stand. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide proper care.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Susan A. Marks of Sam Law Office, LLC in Rolling Meadows.
