CHICAGO — An administrator of a decased woman's estate has filed a wrongful-death suit against The Renaissance at 87th Street Inc., d/b/a Renaissance at 87th Street and Nucare Services Corp., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries at the nursing home.

Ruby Webb, as independent administrator of the estate of Alice Hardy, filed a complaint on June 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Alice Hardy while she was in the facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Hardy experienced pain from pressure sores that contributed to or caused her death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and proper care to Hardy.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Margaret P. Battersby Black and Pamela Dimo of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
