CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing The University of Chicago Medical Center, d/b/a University of Chicago Hospital, and Symphony South Shore, LLC, d/b/a Symphony of South Shore and the Renaissance at South Shore, Inc., d/b/a Renaissance at South Shore, alleging negligence and insufficient measures  taken to prevent injuries.

Dolores Mosley, as independent administrator to collect of the estate of Annie Mae Lesure, filed a complaint on June 23 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Annie Mae Lesure.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Lesure experienced pain from developing several pressure ulcers which worsened to stage IV, and alleges that the defendants were negligent under the Wrongful Death Act. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Lesure and provide timely medical care to her pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Terrence E. Davey of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
