Law money 05

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate is suing Glenshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre Ltd., d/b/a Glenshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, in a wrongful death suit alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Roderick Lawrence, as independent administrator of the estate of Irma Berry, filed a complaint on July 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Berry while she was being taken care of in their facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Berry experienced pain from developing multiple pressure ulcers, which caused deterioration of her overall health and contributed to and/or caused her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Berry to make sure she didn't develop pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Bella Feinstein of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
