Doctor says he was hit in head by golf ball

Law money 13

CHICAGO — A doctor is suing Kevin Burg, a golfer, citing alleged negligence.

Michael P. Zygmunt, M.D., filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Burg, alleging that the individual failed to exercise safety while playing golf, causing one of his golf balls to hit the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 8, 2015, he sustained physical injuries when he was struck by a golf ball on his head. The plaintiff holds Burg responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout for other players before striking his golf ball.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court cost. He is represented by Adam Kruse of Walsh, Knippen, Pollock & Cetina, Chartered in Wheaton.
