Customers allege Transit Nightclub security caused injuries

CHICAGO – Two nightclub patrons allege they were assaulted by bouncers.

Lamel Collins and Willie McCray filed a complaint on July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against Met Partners Inc., doing business as Transit Nightclub, and Reliance Security & Consulting Corp. alleging negligence, battery and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 19, 2014, they sustained physical injuries when they were assaulted by agents or employees of the defendants. The plaintiffs holds Met Partners Inc. and Reliance Security & Consulting Corp. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly train its employees, failed to do a background check and failed to properly evaluate persons for bouncer/security positions.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. They are represented by Rosenfeld Hafron Shapiro & Farmer in Chicago.
