Man claims dialysis center did not monitor patient during treatment

Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO – A suit claims that a dialysis center failed to monitor a patient while at the facility, contributing to her death.

Michael Trimuel, as special administrator of the estate of Linda Trimuel, filed a complaint on July 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Ross Dialysis Center, Fresenius Medical Care and SSKG Inc. alleging negligence and wrongful death.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in July 2014, Linda Trimuel experienced a hypotensive episode while having her dialysis treatment at the defendants' facility, causing cardiac arrest and her death. The plaintiff holds Ross Dialysis Center, Fresenius Medical Care and SSKG Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly assess, treat and monitor Linda Trimuel while she was having dialysis.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Mark R. McKenna of Hurley McKenna & Mertz in Chicago.
