Windmill Nursing Pavilion accused of failure to adequately supervise resident

CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing Windmill Nursing Pavilion Ltd., Windmill Nursing Pavilion and The Ingalls Memorial Hospital in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in care.

Stephen Collins, special administrator of the estate of Robbie Collins, filed a complaint on Aug. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Robbie Collins.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Robbie Collins developed decubitus ulcers and suffered from dehydration. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Robbie Collins.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
