CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate is suing Alden - Wentworth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Inc.; Alden Wentworth, L.L.C.; Alden Wentworth; and Alden Wentworth Rehab & HCC, in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Rhonda Sanford, as independent administrator of the estate of Henry King, filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to King.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that King suffered from the development of pressure ulcers that contributed to or caused his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to King to prevent him from developing pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
