Customer says wet floor led to fall injuries

Slip02

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Chili's Grill & Bar, Chili's Inc., Brinker International Inc., ERJ Dining II LLC, ERJ Dining III LLC, and ERJ Dining IV LLC, alleging negligence in connection with a fall.

Nadine Richmond filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to keep the floor of their establishment dry.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2014, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to the slippery floor. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly allowed the floor of their establishment to remain slippery and failed to provide adequate warning to their customers regarding the condition of the floor.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Jane P. Pales of Polansky & Cichon, CHTD in Chicago.
