Hillside Rehab & Care accused of allowing woman to fall

CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing Helia Healthcare Services LLC, which does business as Hillside Rehab & Care, in a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Wayde K. Triska, as independent administrator of the estate of Kathryn Triska, filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that the facility failed to provide proper care to Kathryn Triska.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Kathryn Triska suffered a fall that contributed to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to implement a care plan to properly accommodate Kathryn Triska's fall risk.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Dicker & Dicker in Chicago.
