CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family has filed a wrongful death claim alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Pavel Trakhtenberg, as independent executor of the estate of Ides Trakhtenberg, filed a complaint on Sept. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against Glenbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Glen Health & Home Management, Inc., and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Ides Trakhtenberg.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Ides Trakhtenberg suffered from the development of pressure sores that deteriorated her overall health and contributed to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision to Ides Trakhtenberg while staying at their facility to make sure she did not develop any pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
