CHICAGO — A woman is suing over alleged medical negligence in the treatment of a wrist fracture.
Nickolina Johnson filed a complaint on Sept. 28, in the Cook County Circuit Court against a doctor, identified as Robert Coats, M.D., and medical practice Specialty Physicians of Illinois LLC, formerly known as Wellgroup Health Partners LLC, alleging failure to provide proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2011 and 2012, she underwent treatment and followup procedures for a wrist fracture, but said the defendants allegedly failed to follow necessary procedures in treatment.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits plus court costs. She is represented by Terence J. Mahoney of Neville & Mahoney in Chicago.
