Law money 08

CHICAGO — A woman is suing The Tequilla Corporation, a property owner, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Gena Broner filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Tequilla Corporation, alleging that the property owner failed to make sure that metallic artwork was safely attached to a wall.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 5, she sustained severe head injuries when a metallic artwork fell onto her head. The plaintiff holds The Tequilla Corporation responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the premises for any hazards that could cause an injury.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Jason L. Wolin of Wolin & Rosen, Ltd. in Chicago.
