Marchetti Construction accused of not disclosing property defects

Law money 07

CHICAGO — Two people are suing Marchetti Construction Inc., alleging fraud in connection with a property sale.

Matthew Blair Ward and Caitlin McGill filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Marchetti Construction Inc., alleging that defendant sold property to the plaintiffs without disclosing the defects of the property.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages from buying a property that had defects. The plaintiffs hold Marchetti Construction Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inform the plaintiffs of flooding that had occurred in the basement of the property.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Abraham T. Matthew of Matthew & Drnovsek Law LLC in Chicago.
