Administrator alleges Crossroads Care Center's care of decedent was negligent

CHICAGO – An administrator alleges her decedent suffered injuries as a result of a facility's care.

Sandra Brazlewski, as independent administrator of the estate of Geraldine Graham, filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Crossroads Care Center of Woodstock LLC, AA Healthcare Management LLC and an individual,  citing the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Graham developed pressure ulcers and a hip fracture from a fall as a result of the defendants' care before her death in 2014. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate an adequate plan of care for Graham.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
