CHICAGO — A patient is suing St. Alexius Medical Center and a doctor, identified as Stoyan Kokocharov, alleging negligence in health care.
Jennifer Ramos filed a complaint on Nov. 28, in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide her with proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, she sustained physical injuries in connection with diagnostic laparoscopy, exploratory laparoscopy and en bloc excision of ganglioneuorma. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for an alleged transection of her superior mesenteric artery, causing severe and permanent injuries.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Howard S. Miller of Fichera & Miller, P.C. in Chicago.
