CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family has filed a wrongful death claim against Lexington Health Care Center of Chicago Ridge Inc., and Royal Management Corporation, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Ernesto Martinez, as independent administrator of the estate of Enedina Martinez, filed a complaint on Nov. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to Enedina Martinez.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Martinez developed pressure sores that contributed to her death. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate supervision to Martinez to avoid the development of pressure sores.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Jordan S. Powell and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
