CHICAGO — A man's relative is suing Niles Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Eric Cha, as power of attorney for Philip Cha, filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that it failed to provide proper medical care to Philip Cha.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Cha suffered from the development of pressure ulcers. The plaintiff holds Niles Nursing responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Cha in order to prevent him from having pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgement against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Jason M. Kellerman of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
