Sunrise of Wilmette Senior Living, others accused of not monitoring man properly

CHICAGO — A representative of a disabled man is suing Sunrise of Wilmette Senior Living LLC, and related corporate entities, alleging negligence in assisted living care.

Julie Ann Windsor, as power of attorney for Elias George Jr., filed a complaint on Dec. 9 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide proper care to George.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges George suffered from the effects of dehydration and a fall. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly monitor George.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Thomas W. Dillon, Brian W. Irvin and Michael A. Burr of Konicek & Dillon, P.C. in Geneva.
