Law money 06

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Southern Island Stores LLC and National Stores Inc., which do business as Conway, alleging she was hurt when doghouses fell on her from a store shelf.

Tiffany Shadley filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to keep the premises safe at the Conway home decor store in North Riverside.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she suffered injuries on Jan. 21, 2015,  when doghouses fell on her. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to make sure that the doghouses were properly secure on shelves.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that will fairly compensate her for her damages plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Ankin Law Office LLC in Chicago.
