CHICAGO — A representative of a deceased man's estate is suing Northshore University Health System, alleging that negligence in medical care led to suffering and death.

Mladen Kelecevic, as executor of the estate of Robert Earl Sandler and on his own behalf, filed a complaint on Dec. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Northshore University Health System, alleging that the hospital failed to provide proper care to Sandler.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Sandler experienced pain from developing a necrotic infection of his heel, and died as a result of failure to properly manage his chronic heart failure condition. The plaintiff holds Northshore responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly treat Sandler's heel and failed to take appropriate measures in managing his heart condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $100,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Howard M. Goldrich in Lincolnwood.
