Village of University Park accused of discrimination by former employee

CHICAGO — A former employee is suing the village of University Park, alleging discrimination and retaliation.

Frederick Pullum filed a complaint on Jan. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the village, alleging the village government discriminated against the plaintiff during his employment due to a disability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he was fired in 2016 in retaliation for his complaints of discrimination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general and compensatory damages, punitive or liquidated damages, court costs plus interest and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Jonathan R. Ksiazek of Ed Fox & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
