Four patrons claim battery during ejection from Max Bar

CHICAGO — Four patrons are suing Jo-Kim Lounge Corp., doing business as Max Bar, and unknown employees and agents of Max Bar, establishment, alleging battery and negligence.

Gilbert Shamoun, Johnny Odisho, Ronnie Odisho and Sargon Namrod filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they used unreasonable force while making the patrons leave the premises.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 4, 2015, they sustained physical injuries when workers at Max Bar ejected them from the premises. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for alleged battery with fists and a metal weapon.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. They are represented by Thomas M. Breen, Todd S. Pugh, Jonathan M. Brayman and Robert W. Stanley of Breen & Pugh in Chicago.
