Lazo's Tacos accused of serving food item containing metal wire

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Lazo's Tacos Inc., alleging liability and negligence, after she allegedly bit into a metal wire.

Sweyzen Pagan filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lazo's Tacos, alleging the establishment failed to properly prepare the food item served to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 14, 2016, she bit into a food item allegedly sold by Lazo's that had a metal wire in it. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Douglas C. Dorn, P.C. in Chicago.
