Woman blames Kroger Company, others for fall injuries

Slip02

CHICAGO — A woman is suing The Kroger Company and Food 4 Less, CBRE Inc. and Veriet L.L.C., alleging that the defendants' negligence led her to slip and fall.

Lestene Norris filed a complaint on Feb. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to keep their premises reasonably safe for the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in February 2015, she sustained physical injuries from falling on accumulated water and ice. The plaintiff said the defendants allegedly allowed water and ice to accumulate in their property making it unsafe.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus court costs. She is represented by Justin R. Lewicky of Ankin Law Office, L.L.C. in Chicago.
