Lutheran Home allegedly failed to prevent fractured femur

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Lutheran Home, a nursing facility in Cook County, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent her from falling and fracturing her femur.

Jeanne Cooney filed a lawsuit on March 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the nursing facility failed to provide proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced pain after suffering a fall in which she fractured a femur. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise her to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $30,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Steven M. Dicker of Dicker & Dicker in Chicago.
