Forest City Rehabilitation and Nursing Center allegedly failed to prevent patient from falling

CHICAGO — The administrator of the estate of a deceased patient is suing Forest City Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, iCare Financial Services Inc., iCare Consulting Services LLC and two nurses for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent the patient from falling and fracturing her left hip.

William Greg Gogolla, independent administrator of the estate of Twyilla J. Young, filed a lawsuit on March 16 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide Young with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Young experienced pain after falling and fracturing her left hip. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise the patient in order to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Pamela Dimo of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
