CHICAGO — A patient is suing Professional Angel Care Ltd., which does business as In-Home Professional Care Services, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Robert Motley filed a complaint on April 6 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendant's in-home caregiver failed to provide proper care to him.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he experienced pain and a fractured hip from falling from his wheelchair. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because its caregiver allegedly failed to make sure that the plaintiff was properly secured in his wheelchair.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jerome Schachter of Jerome Schachter & Associates Ltd. in Skokie.
