Law money 01

CHICAGO — Two employees have filed a class action lawsuit against Follett Corporation and Follett Higher Education Group Inc., citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Angela Williams and Tom Colban, who worked as assistant managers in Follett campus bookstores, filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the defendants alleging they failed to properly compensate the plaintiffs for their work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid overtime compensation by Follett.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid overtime pay, liquidated damages in an equal amount, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Ryan F. Stephan of Stephan Zouras LLP in Chicago.
