CHICAGO — An unnamed plaintiff is suing Pace Suburban Bus Services, SCR Medical Transportation Inc. and a bus driver, citing alleged battery and negligence.

The woman filed a complaint on April 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they negligently hired the defendant driver, who allegedly committed battery against her when she was a passenger on a bus he was operating.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in October 2016, she sustained damages from the driver's unwanted contact with her. The plaintiff holds the defendant companies and the driver responsible because the defendant companies allegedly, by screening and then hiring the driver, allowed him to allegedly assault the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Susan E. Loggans & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
