Symphony of Bronzeville allegedly allowed former patient to develop pressure sores

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Symphony of Bronzeville; Bronzeville Park Skilled Nursing & Living Center; Warren Barr South Loop; and Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, alleging negligence and that insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Sarah McBeth, as independent administrator of the estate of Delawrence McBeth, filed a complaint on May 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper care to Delawrence McBeth.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the facility operators failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Delawrence McBeth to prevent the development of pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
