CHICAGO — A woman is suing Coach Inc., Coach Services Inc. and Greer Burns & Crain Ltd. for alleged defamation.
Brenda Buschle filed a complaint on May 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendants issued false and defamatory statements about her business.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants falsely claimed in a lawsuit that she resided in China and that she was an "online counterfeiter." The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly publishing defamatory statements against her business.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages that exceeds $75,000, treble damages, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Bryce A. Lenox of Giles & Lenox LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio.
