CHICAGO — An Ohio business is suing Bell Flavors and Fragrances Inc. and William Todd Sunderhaus, plaintiff's former employee, alleging breach of contract.

Gold Medal Products Co. filed a complaint on May 30 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the defendants alleging they misappropriated plaintiff's trade secrets.

The complaint alleges Sunderhaus took the plaintiff's trade secrets regarding a flavored popcorn glaze so he could develop and sell his own popcorn glaze.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, disgorgement, exemplary damages, court costs, interest, injunctive relief and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Booker T. Coleman Jr. of Ulmer & Berne LLP in Chicago.
