CHICAGO — A former employee is suing Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc., a restaurant business, citing alleged retaliation and wrongful termination.
Cristina Griffith filed a complaint on June 15 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc., alleging that the employer retaliated against her for refusing to perform acts that weren't legal.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was hurt financially from being terminated. The plaintiff holds Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly asked the plaintiff to back-date paperwork in order to avoid government penalties and terminated her when she refused.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to reinstate the plaintiff, in addition to receiving back pay, interest, compensatory damages and all court costs. She is represented by Jonathan Lubin of Lubin Legal in Evanston.
