Saint Luke Renaissance - Greenview Place accused of failing to keep patient from falling, breaking bones

Medical malpractice 03

CHICAGO — An estate representative is suing Renaissance Saint Luke SLF LP and several related corporate entities for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Karen Damato, independent executor of the estate of Sally Seiko Otsuji, filed a complaint on July 10 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Otsuji slipped and fell on a puddle of water in the bathroom, allegedly sustaining three fractures to her left hip and three fractures to her pelvis. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Otsuji to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court and court costs. She is represented by Jennifer P. Imen of Blair Caravelli Irmen Law LLC in Chicago.
